QS Nd:YAG Solar Lentigo Reduction
The applicator is the ideal choice for the treatment of pigmented lesions, such as
sun-damaged skin and age spots.
It selectively heats and damages specific targets in the skin without disrupting the surface. The treatment is sometimes called a “photo facial” and is good for reducing Solar Lentigo, Sun Spots and Pigmentation; commonly presenting itself as pigmented (brown) skin lesions. IPL treats this by targeting the pigment melanin in the upper layers of the skin. IPL uses pulses of visible red light which targets coloured cells. The chrom in the skin causes them to heat up and get destroyed. Results vary depending on the size, site, thickness and darkness of the lesion.

TREATMENT DESCRIPTION
Following skin cleansing, a cool conducting gel is applied to the area to be treated.
The treatment is then delivered through a sapphire tipped rectangular block.
Some patients liken the experience to that of an elastic band ‘snap’.
Immediately after treatment the skin is cooled as it can feel quite warm.
Any pigmented age spots tend to darken and fall off within a few days.
