Amalan
Hyper-pigmentation is where patches of skin become darker in colour than normal, healthy skin. This darkening often occurs because there is an excess of melanin, which forms deposits in the skin. Melanin is the brown pigment that produces our normal skin colour.
Amalan is a fast-acting medical de-pigmentation treatment that is effective in all types of pigmentation problems, even in resistant cases that have failed all other types of treatment. It can be applied at any time of year, and on all types and shades of skin. Results are usually immediate with only slight redness with skin flaking, not skin peeling.

TREATMENT DESCRIPTION
This treatment consists of an in-salon phase and a home care phase.
In-salon phase:
After cleansing the skin the Dermamelan mask will be applied which feels like a heavy moisturizer. The solution is adjusted according to your patients and skin type. The mask needs to be left on for 8-12 hours depending on the severity of your pigmentation.
It is best to come into the clinic in the morning so you can relax at home with the mask on during the day. It is best NOT to sleep with it on. You can then wash off the mask and at this time may feel some tingling and stinging. Your skin will feel tight, red and swollen. Over the coming days the peeling effect will start.
At home phase:
To complete the treatment you will be required to apply the maintenance products. Full instructions and demonstrations of what to do will be provided. The maintenance product is given as part of the cost of the treatment.
